Rocket League Second Anniversary News
Psyonix, who is responsible for developing the popular soccer game Rocket League has recently released a new update for the game. This proves that they are going to continue improving the game even two years after its initial release. The update was released on July, 5, which includes a lot of new features.
The first new addition to the game is the new field called Champions Field, giving players a new stadium to play in. Although it looks a little similar to the other stadiums already in the game it has fireworks exploding in the background, and a huge trophy overlooking the field. Secondly they introduced a new crate called Overdrive. As always you randomly receive these after playing online matches to open in hopes of being awarded a rare item. This crate contains many of the same items as the previous crates, but does feature new goal explosions when a goal is scored. Two new cars are available in this crate called Animus GP and the Centio V17, which will only be available via crate openings. As always these crates and the items in them do not affect actual gameplay, just allows customizability with the looks of your game. Season 4 will come to a close as season 5 will be starting up. This is the competitive playlist in which the higher you place in the ladder the better rewards you receive when the season ends. Eighteen new songs have been added to the game. As always they are a part of the EDM genre, which I believe fits the game very well. This playlist is available to listen to and download on iTunes, spotify, and more. Lastly new achievements and trophies have been made available.
