How to become better at Call of Duty

This article is about how to get better at Call of Duty. The newer Call of Duty’s have a game mode called combat training. In this mode you kill bots instead of other actual players. This gives you the ability to learn the maps and not have to worry so much. I recommend setting the bots on the easiest difficulty and working your way up. It is very key to make good use of your lethals and equipment. A good flash/stun throw can make all the difference in getting the kill. Every life I suggest to throw a grenade because you never know when you may just get lucky. It is very important to find the guns that you can play your best with. Combat training, again is a very good place to test them out before getting into live action. I recommend using accurate guns. Choosing the right perks is crucial. Ghost is a perk that will keep you off the radar when the enemy team calls in a UAV. You are at a huge disadvantage if you are showing up on the minimal, so I also suggest using silencers on your weapons. If you can go without a red dot sight, do it. This will allow space to put on another more important attachment. Like I have mentioned in a previous post having a good headset is crucial. Sound is your best friend in competitive Call of Duty. Whether you are hearing enemy footsteps, grenades/stuns or gunfire it will all help you locate the enemy. This can give you the chance to react before the enemy even knows you are there. Once you find out what your play style is like, that is when you can better decide which gun you want to use. For example if you are sitting back waiting for the enemy using an assault rifle is recommended. For a quicker game play using a sub-machine gun is recommended. Finding the right movement sensitivity can make all the difference in the world. For beginner players be sure to start at a lower sensitivity, and gradually bump it up as you get the hang of the game. In general a higher sensitivity is better as long as you can handle it properly. Having a high sensitivity will allow you to turn on enemy that may not be shooting you head on. I recommend starting on sensitivity three. Do not sprint around corners. This is a big mistake I see players making. It only makes sense to take your time because you have no idea what could be around that wall or object. It is sometimes smart to the a flash/stun before turning a corner or entering a room. Before you go into a live online game play a couple warm up games to get your aim down and on point. It is best to practice on bots or other players with your similar skill. Taking out enemy kill streaks not only will help your kill to death ratio, but it will also give you more points to add to your score streak. I recommend always having a class ready to shoot down any kill streak the opposing team may call in. Knowing the were the enemy will likely spawn is a big advantage. It is a good way to stay out of trouble and also get a couple easy kills here and there. It is very important to go for the objective in objective game modes, because it not only helps your team out it also helps you get score to your score streak. In a game mode like hard point knowing where the next hard point will be will give you a jump start on the enemy to help take the territory over. Above anything else the best way to become better is to practice. After a decent amount of time you will surely begin to get the hang of the game.
